Woodrow Dixon Wall

Woodrow Dixon “Dick” Wall, 75, went home to his Heavenly Father on September 27, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. Dick was born March 24, 1946 in Charlotte to the late Woodrow and Mayme Ingram Wall.

Through the years, Dick was an accomplished composer of choral and handbell music and served in various churches as minister of music before retirement. He was also cofounding director of Queen City Ringers and treasured time spent making music together with talented ringers. His most cherished roles however were those of family and he loved each member unconditionally.

Dick also shared a love for humor, music, and airplanes with friends. He regularly gave to those in need without recognition and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a kind, caring gentleman and will be greatly missed. Dick accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at a young age. We grieve with hope knowing we will see him again.

Survivors include his wife Jean Huff Wall of Charlotte, son William Wall, daughter Lynn Wall Edwards and husband Walt of Harrisburg NC, sister Cindy Wall Donahue and husband Mike of Lexington, KY; half brother Charles Zeno Wall and wife Lisa of Charlotte; and grandchildren Jonathan Wall, Kirsten Wall and sister Lauren Manikas all of Monroe, NC; Anaiis Wall; and Daniel and Sarah Edwards of Harrisburg, NC.
