William Davis a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 56. He was born in Havana, Cuba on January 31, 1968 to Elsa Soto Gutierrez, who later married Edward Davis. William was adopted by Edward Davis at 6 years old.
William married April Davis of Concord, North Carolina on October 15, 2010 in Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother Elsa Davis, his sister, Sandra Davis, and his brother-in-law Bryan Fore. He is survived by his wife of 13 years April, sons Lazaro, Noah, and William, daughter Olivia, father Edward Davis, grandchildren Zion and Stassie, and father and mother-in-law Larry and Kathy Fore.
William's personality can be captured in three words: courageous, strong, and loyal. He was known to go out on a limb for his loved ones, consistently demonstrating an unwavering dedication to family and friends. His robust presence and strength left a profound impact on everyone he met. Once he welcomed someone into his inner circle, he made it clear that bonds of loyalty would last a lifetime.
One of William's proudest moments was witnessing the graduation of his daughter, Olivia, from high school, a memory that will be cherished forever. He understood the importance of family and made it a priority to spend quality time with his loved ones. His home was filled with laughter and love, showing that family intertwines through both blood and heart.
His faith was an integral part of his life, as he passionately believed that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of our sins. This Christian foundation guided him in his interactions and relationships throughout his life.
William had an array of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed boating, and cherished cruising on the open water. His strong physique reflected his passion for working out and weightlifting, showcasing his commitment to fitness. Additionally, he worked as a bouncer at a local club, where his strength and reliability made him a figure of respect among his peers.
A lover of animals, especially those with a fierceness that reflected his own spirited personality, William had a particular fondness for dogs. He was also known to bring home roses for his wife, symbolizing his deep affection for her, despite not having a singular favorite flower.
William Davis leaves behind a legacy defined by his love for family, commitment to integrity, and the values that he held dear. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held in his honor on August 25, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cornerstone Family Worship, located at 709 Rankin Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120.
