Obituary:

Vicenta Rodriguez, 85, of Charlotte, NC passed away on November 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Vicenta was born in Vieques, Puerto Rico on October 30, 1937 to the late Vicente Quiñones and Rosario Lopez.

 Along with her parents Vicenta is preceded in death by her siblings Marcial, Raymond, Juan, Daniel, Robert, and Felicita.

She is survived by her daughter and caregiver Sarah Regan (David), her two sons Victor and Ray, her four siblings Vincent, Irene, Miriam, and Tina. Vicenta also leaves behind her grandchildren Kristian, Victor, Jocelyn, Douglas, Julissa, Kaylyn and Justina; 5 great grandchildren (Nathaniel, Natalie, Nalani, Nomi, and Kristina), a community of extended family and friends, and her first and endless love Feliciano Rodriguez.

Vicenta had an inquisitive mind who unabashedly adored her family. She loved to fill her time with crocheting, crossword puzzles, watching novelas, listening to music, dressing up and creating memories with those she held close. She was passionate, strong, sensitive, and courageous. If she could, she would fill her home with butterflies, flowers, good food, and laughter. Not only did Vicenta raise her three children, she was also a foster mother for over a decade. She selflessly helped to raise her grandchildren and lived with David and Sarah for over 20 years. While living there, she was able to help nurture her grandchildren instilling her core values into each of them. She cherished relationships, taking care of others but also being taken care of. She will be deeply missed and tenderly loved by all who have known her.

The family will celebrate her life on Tuesday November 29, 2022. A public viewing will be at 11 AM followed by a funeral service at 12 PM.
