Vernay Renfro-Goodwin

Vernay Renfro-Goodwin, 73, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on September 13, 2024.

Vernay was born in Winslow, Arizona on November 18, 1950, to the late Louis H. Renfro Sr. and Luola Renfro.

Along with her parents, Vernay is preceded in death by her husband Charles Goodwin, and her brother Clifford Renfro.

She is survived by her children, Angela Robinson, Bobby Woodson, Mandisa Holder, daughter-in-law Esther Woodson, and son-in-law, Toriano Holder. Her six grandchildren, are Robert Jones Jr., Brianna Robinson, Micaela Woodson, Toriano Holder Jr, Jeremiah Holder, and Judaea Holder. Her siblings, are Mildred Burton (Kermit) Ella Mae Renfro, Lewis Renfro Jr. (Dolores), Johnice Wilkins (Arnold), Clarice Garner and several nieces and nephews.

To honor Vernay, a viewing will be held at noon on Saturday, September 21 at Zion Baptist Church at 500 N Donnelly Ave, Winslow, Arizona 86047. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 1 pm. Zoom will be available for funeral services only and all times are Mountain Standard Time.
