Thomas J Schuman, Jr.

Thomas J Schuman, Jr of Concord, NC passed away on October 17, 2023 after battling Alzheimers for the last few years. 

Tom was born in Savannah, Ga on November 7, 1931.  He served in the Air Force where he was a radar specialist during the Korean War and went on to be a National Manager for Door o Matic. 

On Christmas Eve in 1954, Tom married Janet Hendricks and together they raised 3 children in the Charlotte, NC area.   

Tom loved to play golf and his favorite place to relax was his mountain cabin.  His granddaughters will tell you their favorite memory was playing putt-putt with him.  

Tom is predeceased by his parents Thomas Sr and Helen Whalen.    He is survived by his wife Janet, sons Tommy and Guerry (Suzanne) and daughter Donna (Bobby) and 2 sisters , Gloria Register and Helen Grabon.  He has 3 granddaughters, Tasha Cornett (Kevin), Jessica Pace and Delaney Schuman.  He has one great granddaughter, Ainsley Cornett. 

There will be a graveside service in Savannah, Ga where Tom will be laid to rest in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery on November 4 at 1pm.
