Suzanne "Giggy" Shuler Clark, 75, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Suzanne was born January 11, 1947 in Homestead, Florida, to the late Everett W. Shuler and the late Elza M. Day Shuler.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, James Clark and wife, Audra, of Canton, Georgia; daughter, Stephanie Clark Flannery and husband, Shawn, of Harrisburg, North Carolina; grandson, Kyle Flannery, and wife Martine; grandson, Cody Clark; grandson, Matthew Flannery; grandson, Ethan Flannery; granddaughter, Elaina Ghorley Clark; and granddaughter, Abigail Flannery.
Suzanne was a most beloved "Giggy" to her grandchildren. She was lovingly called "Giggy" by many people who knew and loved her, as she became like a mother/grandmother figure to them. She was always caring for and loving others and offering her advise or help in any way she could. She was a devoted Christian and very active member of West Concord Baptist Church. She loved being a part of her Sunday School class, Senior Adult Ministry, Tuesday morning Bible Study, Greeter, and helping at most every event the church held.
Suzanne loved to work in her yard and garden, caring for her beautiful flowers and the birds. She was an avid seamstress and excellent cook, both skills she learned from her mom, Elza M. Shuler. She treasured every moment spent with her family, especially making memories with her precious grandchildren. She loved her sweet dog, Benji, who was her constant and faithful companion.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Saturday, January 14, 2022 at West Concord Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Michael Farley.
Memorials may be made to West Concord Baptist Church, Youth and Children's Ministries, 225 Warren C. Coleman Blvd. South, Concord, NC 28027.
God Called You Home
God looked around his garden,
and he found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this earth,
and he saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you would never
get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
and the hills hard to climb,
so He closed your eyelids,
and whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you
but you didn't go alone
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
