Susan Pierce, known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, entered into the presence of Jesus on May 1, 2024, at Tucker Hospice House surroundedby her family. Born on December 16, 1954, in Rowan County, NC, Susan was the daughter of Moody Van Eagle and Mary Louise Alexander Eagle.
Susan's life was a testament to her selfless nature and the deep love she held for her family. Known to her grandchildren as Gigi, she found immense joy in helping raise all five of her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Gardening, tending to her yard, enjoying sleepovers and movies, and engaging in crafts with her grandchildren as well as attending their sporting events were among Susan's favorite activities.
A woman of faith, Susan found solace in worshiping alongside her brothers and sisters in Christ at Redemption Church of Concord. Her sweet personality touched the lives of all who knew her; she had a remarkable ability to make others feel special and always prioritized the needs of those around her.
Susan leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be carried on by her surviving family: daughters Lisa (Jerry) Lovelace and Tracy (Shane) Brown; grandsons Devin Brown, Grant Lovelace, Nathan Lovelace; granddaughter Camden Lovelace and Kara Lovelace; brother Glenn Eagle and David Eagle; nieces Karen Eagle, Linda (Mike) Ludwick, Angela Eagle Stanley; nephews Jerry Eagle, Matt Eagle, Mark (Michelle) Eagle; several great nieces and nephews; beloved dog Luke; as well as a large extended family and numerous friends.
Susan is now reunited with her beloved husband Randall Pierce, parents Moody Van Eagle and Mary Louise Alexander Eagle, brother Richard Eagle, and nephews Cody Ludwick and Andy Eagle. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In remembering Susan Pierce, we honor a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose legacy of selflessness will endure through the lives she touched. May she rest in peace knowing that she made the world a brighter place with her presence.
