Stephen Gilbert Rowe, 67, a cherished sign manufacturer and devoted family man, passed away on March 26, 2025, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Born on February 6, 1958, in Charleston, South Carolina, Stephen left an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Throughout his life, Stephen was admired for his unwavering willingness to help others. He became a cornerstone for his family and friends, always ready to lend a hand or offer support in times of need. His coworkers held him in high regard, not only for his skills as a sign manufacturer but also for his kind-hearted nature.
Stephen's love for his daughters' education was a source of immense pride for him. He was a dedicated caregiver, providing loving support to his mother, Joyce Mae Benaman Rowe, as she battled dementia. This role highlighted his compassionate spirit and demonstrated his commitment to family.
Known for his enthusiasm for technology, Stephen enjoyed staying up to date with the latest advancements. His passion extended to rebuilding computers, a hobby that brought him both joy and fulfillment. Additionally, Stephen had a deep affection for animals, rescuing many throughout his life and establishing a warm home for them.
He leaves behind his daughter, Rachael Mae Rowe, and brothers Dean Rowe and Dennis Rowe. He is also survived by his uncle, Daniel Rowe, as well as his beloved grand dog, Charlie, and grand cat, Finn. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Hume Rowe, Jr., his mother, Joyce Mae Benaman Rowe, and his uncle, Walter Rowe.
