Sofia Ortiz

Sofia Ortiz, 80, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 23, 2018 in Concord, NC.

She was born June 26, 1937 to the late Domingo Valentin and Rosa Sanchez in Puerto Rico.

Sofia is survived by her husband of 19 years Domingo Munoz; sons Efrian Ortiz (Stacey) and Ricardo Ortiz (Tabitha); daughter Rosa Cianfaglione (Mike); eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, Sofia is preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years Calixto C. Ortiz and son Carlos Ortiz.

Her family enjoyed her youthful personality. Sofia loved salsa and merengue dancing. She was very active and loved being around her family. Some of Sofia’s favorite things were to cook for her family, enjoying a relaxing time at the beach, and eating sweets, especially cakes. Her favorite game shows Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune.

An internment will be held at Park Cemetery in Bridgeport Connecticut on May 27, 2018 at 11:00am.
