Robert (Bob) Albert Kachmarik, age 87 was born in Binghamton, New York on June 6, 1935. He went home to Jesus on September 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving and lifelong soulmate Beverly of nearly 66 years. He is survived by his daughter Mary Lavarnway and her husband Jeffery, son Robert, daughter Patricia Schodorf and her husband Thomas and son John and his wife Jill. He is survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren that he dearly loved. He is survived by his sister Florence Smelkoff of Johnson City, New York who he shared a very close relationship with. Robert is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that loved him as their second father.
Robert proudly and honorably served in Korea with the US Army 1953 - 1955. He was a founding member of the IBM Employees Federal Credit Union in Endicott, New York, serving many years on its board of directors. Robert was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus in North Carolina and served in many local and state positions as a Fourth Degree Knight. He was employed by IBM for 33 years. He loved his church and his family and was proud of all of them. His next biggest love was Mickey Mouse and Disney World. He truly was a 6 foot 2 inch Mouseketeer.
