Richard Stephen Arnette

Richard Stephen (Steve) Arnette of Harrisburg, NC passed away Wednesday, November 27,2024 in his home. 

Steve was born December 19,1947 to Albert Clayton Arnette and Deborah Louise Morrow of Newport News, VA and was raised in Brevard, NC. He graduated from Crossnore Boarding School in Crossnore, NC. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Johnny, and his son Richard Jr. 

Steve is survived by his ex-wife and best friend of 61 years Shirley Arnette, sons Ronald, Randall(LilliAyn Arnette), daughter-in-law Becky Arnette, two grandchildren William Arnette, Samantha Arnette Hairgrove(John Hairgrove),great grandson Jaxon Hairgrove and two sisters Anita and Hilda. 

Steve was a strong man who faced his battles with strength and courage loving his family above all, and with an amazing work ethic and dedication to his family. He was regarded as a wonderfully generous and loving man. Steve leaves behind many friends and associates who were blessed to have known him.

 As per Steve’s request, no visitation or service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
