Prince Danny Moses

Mr. Prince Danny Moses was born in Florence, SC on October 23, 1931 to the late Mr. David Moses Sr. and Mrs. Reeby “Feaba” Jordan Moses and departed on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Prince attended the Florence County School System, and served in the United States Army; after being injured in the line of duty, Prince received several medals of Honor including the Purple Heart, and was honorably discharged from service.

Prince later married Ometa Perkins on February 9, 1954, and moved to New York where they raised six children together. Prince and Ometa were married two months shy of 68 years at the time of Prince’s passing.

After working in senior management as a Mechanical Engineer at Armour Container Corporation for over 45 years, Prince Moses and wife retired to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1997.

It was in North Carolina after an in-depth study of the Bible Prince Moses was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2005. Prince was a member of the Linda Lake Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 15 years; the meetings brought comfort and hope to him.

Prince enjoyed attending his Christian meetings, spending time with family, helping people, playing pool and cards, and eating fish every Saturday. Many family and friends knew he was dependable for his support to all that needed help. He loved his family and looked forward to a time when military related pains experienced daily will no longer exist

He is survived by his wife Ometa Perkins Moses, six daughters Adrianne Jones, Denise Carrington (Harold), Cheryl Carroway (Larry), Cathy Smith (Derek), Jennifer Purvis (Craig Sr.), Leslie Carolyn Bland, and a son Danny Moses. Fourteen grandchildren Christopher Jones (Hriadne), Arielle Jones, Dayna Innocent (Miguel), Enjolique LeMaitre, Nicole LeMaitre, Jasmine LeMaitre, John LeMaitre, LaTayelle LaMaitre, Danielle Lake-Nestor (Mark), Craig (Lamont) Purvis, Jamal Purvis, Danny Prince Bland, Michael Bland (Jamie), Danny Moses Jr. (Tracy), and several beloved great grandchildren.
