Patricia Anne McManus

Patricia Anne (Havrilka) McManus passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in Concord, North Carolina. 

She was born in Johnson City, New York on August 11, 1938, to John and Anna Havrilka. 

Pat grew up and went to school in Endicott, New York, graduating from Union-Endicott High School in 1956. She married the late David J. McManus, Sr. in 1957. She and Dave raised their family of four boys and a girl, first in Endicott and then in Concord, North Carolina, moving there with her family in 1979. In both locations, she was active in school, church, and community, and was a mainstay at games, track meets, school plays, and church services. 

Religion was an important part of her life, at St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Endicott, St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Endicott, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Charlotte, where she will be interred with her devoted husband Dave, who passed away in Concord on July 2, 2020.

She will be dearly missed and well-remembered by all who knew her. A gifted conversationalist, she loved sports, crossword puzzles, baking, and most of all, family and friends.

Pat is survived by her sister, Janice Miklos of Endicott, New York; her five children, David Jr., and his wife Nancy of Severna Park, Maryland; Mitch; John; Eric; and Laura Fox, and her husband Tony, all of Concord; 11 grand-children; and extended family in Endicott.

A Parastas service will be held at St. Mary’s and a funeral mass will be held at St. Ambrose at future dates.
