Narciso Felix Saavedra, 84, passed away September 19, 2017 in Concord, NC.
He was born on November 20, 1932 to the late Narciso and Delia Saavedra.
Ciso, as he was known by his friends and family, was full of life. Described by his family as a "mover and a shaker", he loved people and enjoyed being around others. Ciso used his love for music and career as a music promoter to celebrate the pride he had in his Cuban heritage. He also used music promotion as a way of community outreach and fundraising while living in Tampa, FL.
He is survived by daughters Margie Saavedra-Roy, Laura Saavedra, Damaris Hernandez (Henry), Dafne Saavedra-Preskins (Robb), and Diana Saavedra-Bryan (Mario); sister Delia Saavedra; brothers Nelson Saavedra and Narciso Saavedra; sister-in-law Angela Jimenez; grandchildren Michelle, Daniel, Johnathan, Delia, Anastasia, Jordan, Jackson, and Cooper; great-grandchildren Ayden and Julietta; niece Romy Jimenez; cousins Andy, Yvonne, Jose Antonio, Lazaro, Wesley, Julian, and Rayna.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dazne "Nani" Saavedra, son Henry Saavedra, and nephew Victor Jimenez, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 6 pm. A visitation will follow the service until 9 pm.
