Nancy Carol Williams

Nancy Carol Nicholson Williams passed peacefully from life surrounded by family, Sunday, February 7, 2021.

She was born in Lenoir, NC on March 27, 1946 to the late Roscoe Nicholson and Lela Hodgens Nicholson. Along with her parents Nancy is preceded in death by her sister Peggy Greene.

Nancy attended the St. Andrew’s North Carolina School of Arts for Music. Nancy’s love of music impacted her life in many ways. She was a part of the chorus in the outdoor drama, Horn In The West, in Boone, NC. This is where she met the love of her life, Bill Williams. She and Bill were married for 51 years and made Harrisburg, NC their home. Nancy was involved in their church’s choir, as the Choir Director and singer in the church group Reflection, where she made lifelong friendships. She loved to share her love of music with others as it way her way to share the love of God. Psalm 101:1 “I will sing of steadfast love...to you, O Lord. I will make music.” She will be remember for her legacy of music by the many people she touched.

Survived by her family: husband, William “Bill” Henry Williams, Jr, daughter Joy, and son Chris (Jennifer), and her grandchildren, Skyler, Cade and Jase, who were her pride and joy.

Visitation will be held at Covenant Church of Harrisburg, NC on February 13, 2021 from 11:00 - 12:00 and funeral services will immediately follow from 12:00 - 1:00. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Music Ministry at Covenant Church or to the Music Ministry of the church you attend.
