Michael Dinh Nguyen

Michael Dinh Nguyen, 44, of Charlotte, NC passed away on August 8, 2023.

Michael Nguyen was born in Cleveland, OH on May 31, 1979.

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Michael Nguyen, age 44, announce that they lost their champion to an unexpected cardiac emergency. Mike was  a deeply devoted father to his sons Samuel Nguyen (13) and Spencer Nguyen(10).  He was a loving brother to his siblings John Nguyen, Jeanne Nguyen and Jane (Eric) Fiske, caring uncle to Maeve Fiske and son to Su Nguyen. 

In addition to being a supportive, present father Mike volunteered his time to coach flag football and basketball throughout the years for his sons. He brought inspiration and joy to so many and loved giving to his community in this way.

Mike was a die hard Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed watching with his son, Spencer and playing video games with his son, Sam. He loved music, trying new restaurants, golfing, Disc Golf, and every adventure with his sons.

Mike had a kind spirit and love of animals. He adopted his sweet dog, Riley a year ago when she was getting abandoned.

Mike took pride in openly discussing his mental health in hopes to help end the stigma in our society. He was an active member of mental health groups in the greater Charlotte area. 

In lieu of flowers, Mike would want you to please call a loved one or a friend you haven't seen in awhile. You have no idea what battles they may be having.
