Marylon "Marla" Krueger

Marylon "Marla" Byrd Krueger, 71, passed away on August 25, 2018 in Charlotte, NC.

Marla was born in Richmond County, NC to the late J. Lee Byrd and Lillie Blake Byrd on May 27, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Milton Byrd, Linda McInnis, Jimmy Byrd, a very special niece Kimberly Byrd, and her favorite doggie companion Lou Lou.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Chrystal East Olson of Concord, NC, her favorite grandoggie Bella Byrd, her sister Gladelle Cagle of Norman, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, and a very special great great niece and nephew Sadie Rae Beck and Rylan Elkins.  Marla also leaves behind many friends in the Chicago, IL area where she lived for 30 years before returning to North Carolina. 

Marla retired as owner of the Charlotte's Bartending School. She never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.  She filled her life with joy, love, traveling and making new friends wherever she went. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held on September 8, 2018 in Norman, NC.  A visitation will be held at The Church of God of Prophecy from 11 am - 12pm and memorial service will follow at noon. A graveside service will be held after the memorial service at the Norman Community Cemetery.
