Marlene Anne Rader

Marlene Anne Rader, 86, of Concord, NC passed away peacefully Monday, December 12, 2024 at her home.

She was born January 5, 1938 to the late James Hanlon and Florence (Gottfried) Hanlon in Lexington, OH.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Harold Hanlon, Richard Hanlon and Ralph Hanlon.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Darrell Rader; daughters Dawn (Brad) Harrison; Debbie (Dan) Conklin; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; her identical twin sister Darlene Stief; and several nephews and nieces.

One of Marlene’s greatest joys was her over 50 years of involvement in the Illinois Association for Home & Community Education. She was a passionate flower gardener and took great joy in watching the birds and butterflies her flowers attracted. Her faith and love for her Lord carried her throughout life.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday December 16, 2024 at 11am at the Westford Methodist Church. 273 Hwy 49 South, Concord, NC Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County or Westford Methodist Church.
