Lonie Mae Buchanan

Lonie Mae Buchanan, 74, of Harrisburg, NC passed away on January 1, 2022.

Lonie was born in Lexington, NC on May 23, 1947 to the late Major and Mary Robinson.

Along with her parents Lonie is preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Robinson.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Paul Buchanan and her son Michael Buchanan.

Lonie taught first grade for about 20 years in Cabarrus county. She taught at First Assembly in Concord and Franklin Heights Christian Academy. She loved teaching children and especially loved her son Michael. Lonie enjoyed playing the piano in church and at home. She was an avid reader and read many books by Jan Karon especially the Mitford Years series. Lonie was an ordained minister and attended Calvary Foursquare Church in Concord. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend and will be greatly missed.
