Kristen Susan Seduski

Kristen Seduski of Charlotte, North Carolina, died peacefully on October 17, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, following a courageous almost 4-year battle with ovarian cancer. 

Born June 15, 1971 in Waterford, New York to Susan McGurn and the late Edward J. Seduski, Kristen is a graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School, Hudson Valley Community College, and Empire State College. She relocated to North Carolina in 1998 and began a career in finance, most recently with the Compass Group and prior with Belk Inc.

Kristen is best known for her intense work ethic, independence, and being fiercely loyal and protective - especially as a proud and devoted aunt to Alex and Madeline and dog mom to Daisy and Sadie. In Kristen's true stubborn nature, she bravely embraced quality of life enjoying visits with her mom and sister; travel, fishing, board games, and watching Jeopardy and races with her wonderfully supportive partner, Jamie; trips to Mexico with her vacation buddy, Jen; cuddling with Daisy and Sadie; and cheering on Alex and Madeline in all of their pursuits. 

Those who will mourn and miss her are her mother Susan McGurn, partner Jamie Seaman, sister Tonya Murray [Chris], nephew and niece Alex and Madeline Murray, fur babies Daisy and Sadie, and many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and colleagues. She was predeceased by her father, Edward J. Seduski, in 2017 and her first fur baby, Emma [whose paw print Kristen wore lovingly tattooed on her foot, along with ones for Daisy and Sadie]. 

Jamie and her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, aides, social workers, Hospice volunteers, and all who sent cards or flowers and shared visits with Kristen in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in honor of Kristen to the ASPCA or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County (NC). Celebrations of Kristen's life are being planned in both Charlotte, NC and in Waterford, NY so friends and family may share stories and memories of Kristen. Dates and details to follow.
