Judy Lynn Williams

Judy Lynn Williams, 73, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate. She was born on March 12, 1947 to the late Philas J. Burris Sr. and Ora Ann Bradley in Mecklenburg County, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, MSgt Walter Lee Williams. She and Walter never had any children of their own, but she was godmother to many and loved by all.  She loved to laugh and entertain others. Judy had a child-like heart and was always ready and willing to do just about anything. From riding all the rollercoasters at Carowinds, fishing or just a simple trip to the Dairy Queen she enjoyed every minute just spending time with the ones she loved. Judy suffered from many different health problems but through it all, she always had a smile on her face.  She would welcome anyone in and would give you the shirt off her back. Judy loved to eat. She was a stockholder in Dairy Queen; she would devour the double cheeseburger and onion rings daily.  A strawberry banana blizzard or just a large cup of ice would light up her whole day.  Ranch Dressing was a staple in her house along with cheese puffs and diet wild cherry Pepsi. Bandit, her little dog, was the apple of her eye. She loved him and treated him like a little king. He guarded her and never left her side.

Judy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic in Charlotte, NC.  She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at 13 years old. She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was a faithful follower of Christ.
