Joyce Presson Osborne

Joyce Presson Osborne, 76, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 following a period of declining health.

Born on December 6, 1948 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of Cary Alden Presson and Beatrice Purser Presson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Osborne.

Mrs. Osborne retired from banking after a forty year career of devoted service. She kept in touch with many of her banking friends.  After retiring from Wachovia/First Union National Bank in Corporate Actions, she volunteered for many years at the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County (and Ruth's Memorial Shelter) in Concord. 

Family members include her daughter Amy and two grandchildren, Mae Elizabeth and Michael, Jr.. She is also survive by her five sisters, Barbara Arnett (husband, Rick), Judy Burnett (husband, James), Luann Presson, Cathey Airington (Husband, Charles), and Sherry Presson and one brother, Randy Presson (wife, Louise). There were many cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at Saint Martin Lutheran Church in Concord, NC at a later date.
