Jeffrey Paul Moore, 66, of Concord, North Carolina peacefully passed away at The Tucker House on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.
He was born in Dover Foxcroft, Maine on September 23, 1957, a son of Eugene and Pauline Moore. He grew up in Windham, Maine and attended and graduated from Windham High School. From there he went on to work in the automotive industry eventually opening and owning Moore’s Motor Carriage in Windham, Maine. He was one of the best auto repair shops in Windham for many years, well respected and served the community for over 25 years until his retirement in 2022.
When not working Jeff and his wife Karen Moore enjoyed the great outdoors together. Thanks to their close friend Bill Fieldings Sr. who introduced them to the great Northern Maine outdoors, they had many moose and bird hunting trips in Northern Maine with their friends as well as fishing trips and deer hunting. They always wanted their own camp and in 2014 they found their piece of paradise in Portage, Maine. They made many great memories with their friends and grandchildren at their camp over the years. He also had a passion for restoring older vehicles and was currently in the middle of restoring their 1967 C10. Jeff followed NASCAR, attended many races at Beech Ridge and helped his brother in law Bill Griffin for many years. Jeff was a man of few words but when he did speak you listened and his side smile and chuckle will be missed by so many.
Jeff and Karen married in 1994 at their home in Windham, Maine. Once they both retired in 2022 they made the move to Concord, North Carolina.
Jeff was predeceased by his Father Eugene Moore and sister in law Florence Moore. Also a close and great friend Scott Howard aka “Duck”.
Jeff is survived by his devoted and loving wife Karen Moore, Daughter Mandy Moore and partner Tim Rosario of Gorham, ME, Step-Daughter Julie Walker and her husband Jeff Walker of North Waterboro, Me and Step-Son Jamie Harrison of Middleburg, FL. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Carson Small, Sierra and Brody Worth, Ethan Walker, Jayla, Makayla and JJ Harrison, who were all his pride and joy. Being Papa was one of his greatest callings. His brothers Larry Moore of Winter Garden, FL. and Joey Moore and his wife Beverly Belleview, FL. As well as his loving mother Pauline Moore of Winter Garden, Florida. Many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family members and several close friends he leaves behind and will all miss him dearly.
