Jeannie Dionne Hucks

Jeannie Dionne Walker Hucks, age 63 of Charlotte NC, passed away on Thursday September 12, 2019, at Atrium Health Pineville.

Jeannie was born in Charlotte, on January 7, 1956 to the late Shirley Anne Graham Walker.

Jeannie is survived by her father, William McKinley Walker Jr., and her two children Shane B. Hucks (partner Kelly Vickers) of Harrisburg, NC and Shannon Hucks Price of Charlotte, NC; sisters Tammy Walker Ross (John) and Sherry Walker Pistone (Sam); . brothers Tim Walker, Jim Walker(Tammy); grandchildren Cameron Stack and Tyler Price, and her first Great Grandchild, Jayden, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also left behind are her furry canine companions, Cade and Louie.

Jeannie attended Harding High School. She was a homemaker, and was a caregiver to her parents, and grandchildren for many years. She had a tremendous, loving heart. She also worked part-time in the bindery at both MetroGraphics, and Aladdin Graphics. Her love for children led her to work in the infant room at the Morrison YMCA for many years. Jeannie loved to take trips to the mountains, and enjoyed time spent with her sisters on their annual beach trip where she loved the hot tub and pool. She also enjoyed a trip to High Rock Lake and cruising around on a pontoon boat.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 13th in Pineville. Memorial Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, in remembrance of Jeannie Hucks.
