Jack Ronald Felker, born on August 4, 1938, in Meshoppen, PA, passed away on July 25, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. He was a dedicated individual who left an indelible mark throughout life journey.
Jack began his career at IBM in Vestal, NY in 1956 and later relocated to the Charlotte area in 1978, retiring from IBM in 1992. Jack honorably served his country in the US Army National Guard. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jack found joy in hobbies like working on cars and hot rods.
Described as a caring father, Jack cherished moments spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known for his unwavering support of his children and their activities. He was always present and stood by their side. His love for his family knew no bounds. Jack showed his love in his actions and how he always had his family's back.
In addition to his impact on family life, Jack's presence will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and resonate with all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Jack is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Charles Felker, mother Lucretia Jeanette Carney Felker, sister Elizabeth Felker, sister Shirley Austin, brother Robert Felker, granddaughter Jennifer Marie Lambert, and the mother of his children Geraldine Felker.
He is survived by his son Jack (Donna) Felker, daughter Patricia (Bruce) Lambert, daughter Theresa Felker Jones, grandson Alex Lambert, granddaughters Meredith (Derek) Hutchins and Kristen Felker, grandson Dallas (Kayla) Andrejack, great-grandchildren David, Andrew, Kaleigh, and Nora, partner Thu Ho, brother Kenneth (Barbara) Felker, brother Jerry (Jean) Felker, brother David Felker and a host of extended family members and friends.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, NC on July 30th, 2024. The graveside service will commence at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Jack Ronald Felker will forever be remembered for his kind heart, loving spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched during his time on earth.
