Harmel Keshawn Shuler

Harmel Keshawn Shuler, 45, of New York, NY passed away on July 9, 2021. 

Harmel was born in Harlem, NY on April 5, 1976 to the late Temple Garlick and Cynthia Shuler.

Along with his parents Harmel is preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his  stepfather Darryl Downes, siblings Damon Garlick  (Kieauntae Swain), Temple Garlick (Nikkie), Charmalynne Horne (Antoine), fiancee Carolyn Leonard, honorary sister Patrena Adams, aunts Linda Haney and Lorraine McMillan, uncle Lewis Brown (Earline),cousin Shiloh Hurst, nieces and nephews Trinity Garlick, Justin Garlick, London Horne, DJ Garlick, Cairo Horne, Maui Horne, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Harmel was the glue that kept all the siblings close. He was a selfless, genuine person who made sure everyone had what they needed; even if that meant he went without. Harmel would give you his last to make sure you were okay. He never met a stranger and made sure all his nieces and nephews knew their uncle. He was there for Christmases, birthdays and other important events showing them that he cared. Harmel loved music, good naps, and movies...especially a good Marvel movie. He was talented with music but also was a great cook.

Harmel was a loving fiance, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He will be greatly missed.
