Gwendolyn Edna Carrington

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Carrington, age 96 on November, 4 2023. Gwen passed away peacefully at home with her sister, Pauline Mary and her family,

Gwen was predeceased by her husband, John Carrington and her brothers Dick and Patrick Alexander. She lived a full and meaningful life and had a significant impact on the lives of those who knew her. Gwen will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

She is survived by her children, Richard, Rosie, Ronnie and Tommy, son-in-law, Stephen and daughter-in-law, Cherelle, her sister Pauline Mary, brother-in-law, Marty, sister-in-laws, Francis and Susan, 5 grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a plethora of other family and friends.  

A service in celebration of her life will be held on November 18, 2023 at 11 am at Harrisburg United Methodist Church (4560 HWY. 49 S, Harrisburg, NC 28075).
