Francis Njue Kivuti was born on January 28, 1946 to the late Abiud Ireri Kivuti and the late Agnes Wambugi at Mukangu in Embu County. He attended Mukangu Primary School and Kivote Secondary School. Francis then proceeded to the USA to further his education and enrolled at Shaw University in Raleigh NC where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Francis decided to continue with his education and enrolled at North Carolina Central University where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry.
Upon completing his education, Francis returned to Kenya where he started working with East African Industries Limited, followed by Kenya Breweries and finally Central Glass Industries where he worked until his retirement in 2006.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents Abiud Ireri Kivuti & Agnes Wambugi, his brother James Kimani and his sister Rose Wandiri. Francis leaves behind his wife Gladwell Mumbi, his daughter Caroline Wawira his son Richard Ireri, daughter in law Jenell, his grandchildren Samuel Njue, Grace Mumbi, Isabel Priscilla Wawira, his sisters Madeline Muthoni, Rachel Rwamba, his brother Charles Njeru and a host of extended relatives and friends.
Despite the excellent care received at Atrium Health and the best efforts of the staff, our beloved Francis Njue was called home on December 4, 2022 to be with his Lord and Saviour.
May the Lord of Love and Mercy rest his soul in eternal peace.
