Fornso Good was born in York, SC on August 6, 1942 to the late Willie and Martha Good. At the age of 7 he moved to Gastonia, NC where he grew up and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961.
In 1964 he spent four years stationed at George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA. He later worked as a counselor for the California Department of Corrections in Riverside, CA until his retirement in 1999.
In 2003, Fornso was introduced to the woman he would soon marry. After getting to know each other long distance, he made the move to Charlotte, NC in 2004. He and Patricia Huskey Littlejohn married on July 31, 2004.
Fornso was a man of many talents. He was very mechanically inclined and had a knack for figuring things out. Fornso could hear an aircraft engine and could tell you what it was down to the year, make, and model of the airplane or helicopter. He also enjoyed fishing, singing, and had a love for older cars.
More than anything else he loved Jehovah God and dedicated his life to him in 1974. Although Fornso was a quiet, soft-spoken man, he loved talking about Jehovah. His zeal and love for the ministry moved him to serve as a regular pioneer beginning in 2000 up until his death. Throughout his ministry, he helped many learn the truth and develop a love for Jehovah. He helped and encouraged others in the congregation, and humbly served as an elder for many years.
Fornso was a loving provider, husband, father, and grandfather. He died a servant of Jehovah, leaving behind a good example of faithfulness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Doc Good and Martha Lindsay Good, and sister Elizabeth Good Hughes. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 20 years, Patricia Littlejohn Good; a sister Margaret Prichard; his children Alonzo Good, Cassandra Mitchell, Dawn Keith, and Crystal Littlejohn; grandchildren Justin Good, Jonathan Mitchell, Malcolm Mitchell, Tierra Littlejohn, and Alexis Toto; sisters-in-law Martha Davis, Sandra Avery, Cherre Huskey, and Teresa Lowery, as well as many other relatives and friends.
The family will celebrate Fornso with a service on Saturday January 4, 1:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (5200 Rocky River Road, Concord, NC 28025). Please feel free to leave condolences and memories below.
