Earlene Lowder

Jo Earlene Russell Lowder, 89, passed away on September 14, 2019 at Curis Concord Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Earlene was born on December 6,1929 to the late Everett V. Russel and Annie L. Wise Russell in Concord, NC.

Earlene is a graduate of Hartsell High School in Concord, NC and was married to the late Harold Brack Lowder for 38 years. She was a member and taught Sunday School at Kerr Street United Methodist Church until she was no longer able to attend. Earlene's hobbies included reading, writing poetry, loving her grandchildren, making handmade baby blankets for her grandchildren, baking with them and washing their feet before bedtime. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory son Calvin Brack Lowder and daughter Ann Alisa Lowder Butler (Jimmy), grandchildren Eric Wayne Lowder, Lindsay Lowder Carter(Johnathan), Russell Brack Lowder (finace Hannah Ramsey), Amanda Butler Henry (Christopher "Kit"), Amy Butler Miller (David) and James Brack Butler (Sherrill Anne); great grandchildren Michael, Rocky, Kaden, Cali, Brennen, Kolby, AnnaKate, Hudson, Amelia, Miles, and Maxton.

Earlene is preceded in death by brother Everett Vernard Russell Jr. and sisters Louise Russell Lipe, Hazel Yvonne Russell Cook, and Dorthy Jean Russell Cook.

Services will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2019 at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation (3840 NC Hwy 49 South, Harrisburg, NC 28075). Visitation will be 11 AM - 12 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery.
