Doris Jean Hollinger was born February 5th (do not put the year) in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Wille Eva and Clyde Davis.
She was baptized in February 1969. What a joy it was for her to now have a personal relationship with her God, Jehovah!
Doris followed Christ's command to preach the Good News about God's Kingdom. She shared Bible truths with whoever she would meet. This gave her much satisfaction.
Doris was a professional seamstress. She made many of her own clothes. In addition, she was an awesome cook. Extending hospitality or cooking a dish for a gathering made her very happy. Those whom she gifted her hand-made crochet blankets are still being warmed by that gift.
Doris always enjoyed taking on a challenge in her work. She worked with Marta Transportation in GA. She also drove a city bus, was a train operator and retired as a train dispatcher. Many were amazed to learn that she also drove a double-wide tractor trailer.
Those who proceeded Doris in death are her parents (Willie Eva and Clyde Davis), her husband (Ron Hollinger), her only child (son Victor Haley), her sister (Frances Granger) and her brothers (Luther and Paul Davis).
She leaves to mourn her brother Arthur Davis (Myong), sisters Lucia Davis and Betty Bradley (Larry), nieces, nephews, family and friends
