Doris Jean Hearn, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 7, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 78. Born on July 1, 1946, in Norfolk, Virginia, Doris was a woman who personified strength, independence, and kindness. Those who knew her understood that if you needed something, she would give it to you without hesitation. She amassed a wealth of friendships throughout her life, and if you knew her, you loved her.

Cooking was her love language. The times her family gathered to eat a delicious meal was what helped keep the family united throughout the years. Doris loved shopping and took pride in dressing well.
