Dorcas Ann Boone

Dorcas Ann Boone, 94, of Charlotte, NC passed away on June 29, 2023.

She was born in Lumberton, NC to the late John and Annie Cashwell on June 6, 1929.

Dorcas is preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Larry and twin daughters Linda and Susan.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie, five grandchildren Kim, Jay, Wendy, Trey and Katie, and many great and great great grandchildren.

At the age of 16, Dorcas began working at Southern Bell and eventually retired from that company. She loved flowers, shopping, traveling and giving gifts to her grandchildren. She had an eccentric love for the color purple and goats. She had quite the collection of goats. Planting flowers and enjoying time on her front porch were favorite past times. She was a witty and amazingly strong-willed and determined woman. In her words "just keep moving forward". She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
