Derrick Devon Moore

Derrick Devon Moore of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Saturday August 6, 2022 at Atrium Cabarrus Northeast Hospital in Concord, NC.  He was born April 28, 1968 to James and Susie Moore.

Derrick was preceded in death by his mother Susie Moore.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Hope Moore, son and best friend Derrick Moore (Tara) and their children and his granddaughters Audrianna and Aailyah, daughter and his baby girl Alexia Redfearn and her children and his grandsons Devin Jr and Aaron and an honorary son Michael Wilson, Jr.  Also left to cherish is his father James Moore, sister Twyla McGill and nephew Derrick McGill, Jr, sister Torell Taylor and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends that were always considered his extended family.

Derrick devoted his life to God, his family and work.  He was the ultimate provider to many, mentor and friend to all.  His passions were hosting the best parties while grilling the best foods.  He bled black and gold for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers in the fall, blue and red in the spring for the Atlanta Braves and attending many games and watching the rest on his movie theater tv in addition to supporting his local team the Carolina Panthers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Chapel located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm.
