Deronda Yannette Parks

Deronda was born in Paterson, NJ on December 19, 1969.  She was a graduate of Eastside High School and achieved two bachelor degrees and one associate degree in Connecticut. Deronda worked at Phoenix Counseling Center as a Clinician.  She was blessed with two daughters, Iveena and Jayleena, and one grandson, Tre.

Deronda was the beloved daughter of Diane Saunders and John Medley, and step daughter of Page Saunders.  She leaves to cherish her memories her three brothers, James J. Parks of New York City, Page A. Saunders, Jr. (future sister-in-law Joan) of Montclair, NJ, and Michael Maggette of Paterson, NJ; her auntie, Annette Prince (Deronda calls her Mauntie) of Paterson, NJ, her uncles, James Parks (Tracie Parks) of Jefferson, SC, and Lorenzo Parks (Willa Parks) of Charlotte, NC; two nephews and three nieces; a beloved friend of Beverly and Nancy, and a host of cousins, and friends.

We will miss you dearly, your smiley face, the laughter we all had, your wonderful personality, and your kind warm heart.  We have many fond memories and will pass on the stories and show pictures of you to family and friends.  We love you, and you will forever be in our hearts.
