Christy Nikia Maske

Christy Nikia Maske, a beloved member of the community, passed away on October 5th, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. She was born on August 15th, 1975.

Christy had an impressive career as a Project Manager for Schneider Electric. Her dedication and hard work made her an invaluable asset to the company. She approached her work with utmost professionalism and always delivered exceptional results.

Outside of her professional life, Christy was deeply involved in her community and had a passion for helping others. She was an active member at Elevation Church-University, where she volunteered regularly. Her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those around her was truly inspiring.

Education held great importance in Christy's life. She attended Salem Academy for middle school and later graduated from East Forsyth High School. Her thirst for knowledge led her to achieve a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems from High Point University.

Christy will be remembered for her vibrant personality and love for life. She was the life of the party and had an infectious energy that drew people towards her. Her love for dance brought joy to those around her, as she effortlessly moved to various genres of music including 80s Rock, R&B, and oldies.

In her free time, Christy indulged in two of her greatest passions - travel and cooking soul food. She loved exploring new destinations both domestically and internationally, immersing herself in different cultures along the way. Her culinary talents were legendary among friends and family who eagerly looked forward to savoring her soulful creations.

Among Christy's proudest accomplishments was being a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Delta Lambda Chapter at the University of South Alabama. This affiliation allowed Christy to cultivate lifelong friendships and make lasting contributions to her community.

Christy cherished her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Larry Maske and Joanne Anthony. She is survived by her beloved daughter Natori Maske, brother Bryant Maske (Natashia) , and her loyal doggie companion Diamontae. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of family and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with Christy.

As we mourn the loss of Christy Nikia Maske, let us remember her for the immense impact she had during her time with us. Her dedication to her work, in the community, zest for life, and love for family and friends will continue to inspire us all. Christy's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation located at 3840 NC Hwy 49 S, Harrisburg, NC 28075. Family and friends are invited to drop in and spend time together in a casual, come as you are setting. The gathering will be a come and go gathering no formal service will be held but it will be a time to fellowship with others who loved Christy.
