Charlotte Evelyn Stanley

Charlotte Evelyn Pruitt Stanley, 84, of Harrisburg, NC peacefully passed away from a brief illness on July 24, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Charlotte was born on November 30, 1939 in Harford County, MD, to Isaac Manly and Trustie Marie Crabbe Pruitt.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael Stanley; her daughters, Deborah Pruitte, Tonya Stanley-Linker; her sons, Ron and Rick Pruitte; 3 grandchildren, Alisha Pruitte O’Brien (Tyler), Morganne Linker and Evelyn Pruitte; Brothers, R.V. and Bill Pruitt; including many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings; brothers, David, Ivan, Wilbur Pruitt and sister, Estalene Pruitt Draughn.

Her husband Mike was the love of her life. She loved her children and especially their morning phone calls. Her three granddaughters were her pride and joy, always encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Charlotte and Mike loved to travel and took many trips all over the world. They have a second home at Oak Island, NC that Charlotte loved (her happy place). Over the years, so many wonderful memories were made with family, neighbors and friends.

Charlotte is known to her friends and family as “Sweet Charlotte” and remembered for her cooking, her laughter, her smile and compassionate heart that touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Harrisburg United Methodist Church located at 4560 State Hwy 49, Harrisburg, NC 28075. Food and fellowship will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
