Bobby Ray Lancaster

Bobby Ray Lancaster, 84, of Concord, NC passed away on April 24, 2022.

Bob was born in Goldsboro, NC on December 2, 1937 to the late Nathan and Patience Lancaster.

He is survived by his son Kenneth Lancaster, daughter-in-law Scarlett Lancaster and sister Margaret Grady.

Bob was born the youngest of eight. Living on a farm in Wayne County, NC was not the easiest of lives. He started with humble beginnings, which made him proud to work as a Freight Agent for Eastern Airlines. It was a job that he loved but most importantly, it allowed him to provide for his family well. Bob also served his country in the United States Army.

Known as a man of integrity, Bob always sought to do the right thing in all situations. This concern for doing the right thing was just one of the many qualities that made him an amazing dad, tremendous mentor, and good friend. Bob was compassionate towards others and was someone others would like to emulate. He had a great sense of humor. Bob had a knack for observing everyday life and using these observations to make a joke to make others laugh. He was a loving father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
