Bettye Jean Fritz, 74, passed away on January 5, 2024. She was born in McCormick, SC to the late Sgt. Henry Taylor and Inez (Moragne) Taylor. Bettye is the oldest of five children, Melvin Taylor (deceased), Della Scott, Marvin Taylor, and Michael Taylor (deceased). Bettye was married to Calvin Fritz (deceased), who is from Trinidad & Tobago. Additional survivors include, Damon Fritz (son) & Icoline Fritz (daughter-in-law), Eboni Fritz (granddaughter) and numerous nieces & nephews.
Bettye grew up in a military household and was accustom to moving from base to base, as well as school to school. This had a profound influence on her life and shaped many of her mannerisms. Bettye was driven and always strived to be the best at whatever she set her mind on. This was never more evident then her time in law school, where she privately talked about wanting to beat all the other schools in Moot court. The ironic side to her life, is that she cared more about the achievments and passions of others. This led to Bettye pursuing careers as a teacher and a minister. Bettye walked with integrity and humility, while being a beacon of light that shined so brightly in others. Bettye didn't just serve the lord, but she truly believed in him. I can honestly say that Bettye Jean Fritz is in a better place.
John 5:24
