Bette Lorraine Horton

Bette Lorraine Hartshorn Horton, 78, passed away on September 18, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Bette was born on May 28, 1941 to the late Ellsworth and Aretta Harthshorn in Sommerville, MA.

Along with her parents, Bette is preceded in death by her brother David Hartshorn and sister Carlene Elder.

She is survived by her daughter Kathi Horton, brother Charles Hartshorn and his wife Dianna, dear close friends especially Rachel, Barbara, Joannie, Joyce, and Kathie, her beloved cat Buddy and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces. Those left to cherish her memory will also miss her upbeat attitude and great smile. Bette was a caring, selfless woman who looked out for her family, friends, and pets (Buddy and doberman, Tara). She always had a listening ear for those who needed to talk. She opened her doors to neighbors and provided a warm and welcoming place for children throughout the years. She will be greatly missed.
