Andrew Anthony Fernandez, Jr.

Andrew Anthony Fernandez, Jr., 70, of Charlotte, NC passed away on July 11, 2022.

Andrew was born in Copiague, NY on November 27, 1951 to the late Andrew Fernandez and Maureen Levey Fernandez.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Fernandez, daughters Desiree Botello and Christine Scholl, sons Chad and Justin Fernandez, grandchildren
Talia Botello, Jayden Scholl, Jessenia Botello, Kaley Scholl, Talen Botello, great grandchildren Azaleine and Eyopi Ramos-Botello, sister Jean Tanner and several nieces and nephews.

Andrew was a devoted husband and father who unexpectedly died at home. He graduated from Copiague High School in 1970 and where he played saxophone in the marching band and symphony band. Andrew was a Boy Scout growing up. Later in life, during his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, going to church and to the library. He was a friendly person who never met a stranger. He was an old movie buff and enjoyed watching I Love Lucy and the Andy Griffith show. He was loved dearly and greatly missed.

The family will honor Andrew with a Celebration of life at Freedom Park in the Mahlon Adams Indoor Pavilion on July 17, 2022 from 5-8 pm.
